It is recommended by several researches that RLSA antennas have possibility as an option for Wi-Fi devices antennas. Therefore, to dig deeper this possibility, we designed a RLSA antenna that mimics the specification of an antenna usually found in market, that is 16 dBi outdoor patch antenna. We carried out a parameterization to get a best RLSA antenna model. The model was then fabricated and measured. The measurement results are quite agrees with the simulation results. We found that with the same size of 0.05 m2, our RLSA antennas has better performance in term of gain (2 dB higher), S11 (7 dB lower), and beamwidth (900 wider) compared to the patch antenna. A significant result is that RLSA antenna has much wider bandwidth (815 MHz wider) compared to the patch antenna. A test to our RLSA antenna as an antenna for Wi-Fi devices shows that it works properly.

This paper proposes a new approach to ensure the torque decoupled to the rotor flux of an induction machine based on the Field Oriented Control (FOC). The suggested method consists of inserting into the conventional d-q synchronous current controller, coupling terms of motor and multi-level inverter models. Making, the dynamic response of stator current components decoupled as well as the rotor flux and torque. In this paper, the mathematic model of an induction motor and multi-level inverter are first derived. Then, the synchronous current controller and modulation strategy for high power inverters are investigated. Finally, the validation through implementation and simulation of a 4.16 kV electric drive with MATLAB/Simulink and SimPowerSystems is performed.  The model simulated in this paper includes an induction motor, nine-level cascaded H-bridge inverter and a carrier based space vector pulse-width-modulation.The results of the simulations of each method has been recorded and the comparison results reveal that the proposed method effectively maintains the rotor flux decoupled to the torque.

Reducing mutual coupling is a key research area in design of compact microstrip antennas arrays. To minimize the overall size of the antennas arrays, the distance between them must be very small, as a result a strong mutual coupling is appears. Periodic structures can help to design a low profile of antennas arrays and enable to improve their performances by the suppression of surface waves propagation in a given frequency range. This paper proposes a novel configuration of mushroom-like electromagnetic band-gap (2D-EBG) structure created by microstrip technology placed between two antennas arrays to reduce the mutual coupling more than -33.24dB. When 13×2 EBG structures are used, the mutual coupling reduces to -59.36dB at the operation frequency 5.8GHz of the antennas arrays. A 26.12dB mutual coupling reduction is achieved, which proves that the surface wave is suppressed. The proposed configuration is designed, optimized, and miniaturized by using electromagnetic software CST Microwave Studio. The measured results show that there is a good agreement with the computed results.

In this paper, the system performance of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying network over Rician Fading Channel is proposed, analyzed and demonstrated. For details this analysis, the energy and information are transferred from the source to the relay nodes by two methods: 1) time switching protocol and 2) power splitting protocol. Firstly, due to the constraint of the wireless energy harvesting at the relay node, the analytical mathematical expressions of the achievable throughput and the outage probability of both schemes were proposed and demonstrated. After that, the effect of various system parameters on the system performance is rigorously studied with closed-form expressions for the system performance. Finally, the analytical results are also demonstrated by Monte-Carlo simulation in comparison with the closed-form expressions. The numerical results demonstrated the effect of various system parameters, such as energy harvesting time, power splitting ratio, source transmission to noise power, and the threshold value, on the system performance of AF wireless relay nodes. The results show that the analytical mathematical and simulated results match for all possible parameter values for both schemes.

One of Machine Type Communication (MTC) applications is Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). WSN is an intelligent network application system to collect, integrate, and transmit data autonomously. Sensor nodes in WSN, communicate over short distance via a wireless medium and collaborate to accomplish a common task, such as enviroment monitoring, military surveillance and industrial process control. The constraining aspect of WSN usage is the limited power of each sensor node, so energy efficiency becomes an important issue in WSN. Routing is a function in WSN, which consumes a substantial amount of energy. One of the routing protocols that can increase the energy efficiency of WSN is Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH). In this paper, High Altitude Platform (HAP) is used to replace Base Station (BS) as sink node in WSN. HAP is designed at altitudes of 17, 20 and 22 km. Then WSN over HAP using the LEACH routing protocol evaluated its performance. Performance indicators that we evaluated are engergy consumption, number of dead nodes and total average packets which is sent to HAP. From a series of simulations conducted, the results obtained that the higher the laying of HAP, then the coverage area will be greater. So that the energy consumption will be smaller, the number of dead node less and the avarage of total packet delivered to the HAP will be greater.

Adhi; University of Birmingham Wibowo , Marti; Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta Widya Sari
Refining DeLone and McLean’s (D&M) information system model and technology-organisation-environment (TOE) framework, this research identifies the prominent factors that determine ERP system success. Hypotheses are also drawn based on supporting theories to evaluate the causal relationship between the success determinants. The level of achievement is measured by system quality, information quality, service quality, external quality and top management support, which intermediated by perceived usefulness and user satisfaction towards business benefits. To provide empirical evidence, 86 valid samples out of 156 were collected using a web survey that targeted ERP users in Indonesia. Furthermore, Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) algorithm were applied to check the proposed hypotheses. The results suggest system quality, information quality and service quality significantly affect user satisfaction, whereas they moderately impact on perceived usefulness. Interestingly, external pressures were reported as being the biggest influence on user satisfaction and positively impacted on perceived usefulness. Despite being fairly predictive to perceived usefulness, top management support along with general perceptual factors ultimately promote system success by elevating business benefits.
