https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3305
Chuansheng Tang , Yuehong Dai , Hua Sun
The robust stabilization problem of chaos suppression for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) drive system is investigated in presence of parametric uncertainties. Based on control Lyapunov function (CLF) approach, a new state feedback controller is designed to realize the state of the system globally asymptotically stable. The stability of the proposed control scheme is verified via Lyapunov stable theory. Finally, simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the presented method. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4096

Yangbo Wu , Xiaohui Fan , Haiyan Ni , Jianping Hu
With the technology process scaling, leakage power dissipation is becoming a growing number of percentage in total power dissipation. This study presents a new method in the gate-length biasing technique to achieve a cost-effective gate-length with a most benefit between leakage reduction and delay increasing. With the optimized gate-length, typical combinational and sequential circuits are realized and simulated using HSPICE with the BSIM4.6.4 predictive models at a 45nm COMS process. The results show that leakage currents of typical combinational circuits reduce more and delay increase less. Moreover, leakage currents of mirror adder and transmission gate adder decrease 13.9% and 8.90%, respectively; and leakage power of 4-bit binary counters using C2MOS D Flip-Flop and Transmission-Gate D Flip-Flop reduce 38.36% and 20.05%, with the frequency of 5M, respectively. Therefore, the optimized gate-length biasing technique is an attractive approach in low power circuits design. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4791

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3295
Wanxing Sheng , Limei Zhang , Wei Tang , Jinli Wang , Hengfu Fang
Power system deregulation and the shortage of energy sources have led to increased interests in distributed generators (DGs). The access of DGs to the distribution networks brings advantages as well as creates adverse influences, which is related to the type, location and size of DGs.  In order to fully apply the positive and restrain the negative, proper DGs planning is very important and indispensable. Based on the analysis of the uncertain factors, this paper presents the distribution features of load, WTG and PV. And According to these distribution features, the relatively accurate sampling data are obtained by different discretization methods. Furthermore, this paper also presents an uncertain planning model of DGs owned by the distribution company, which involve power loss improvement, the system voltage quality variation, environment change, etc. The optimization algorithm is based on the fusion methodology with the Monte Carlo simulation, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and genetic algorithm (GA). The simulation is carried out on IEEE 37-bus distribution systems and the results is presented and discussed. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4824

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3360

With the rapid development of the remote sensing satellite, the size and the resolution of satellite images grow increasingly. The evaluation of remote sensing image quality requires precise information of control points extracted from unevaluated images and reference images. Therefore, we propose an adaptive Wallis filter method based on sparse recognition to increase the number of control points and improve the matching precision. Firstly, feature vectors of images are constructed by computing the image radiation-parameters. Secondly, the classification of sub-region terrain in the image can be determined using sparse recognition. Finally, according to specific type of sub-region terrain, we enhance the regions by the Wallis filter based on corresponding filter parameters and extract control points which would lead to the automatic evaluation for geometric precision. The experiments show that the proposed method can get better results especially in the detail on the images of Resourse-3 satellite, hence can increase the number and improve accuracy of control points. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4781

A P2P Traffic Identification Approach Based on SVM and BFA

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3326
Chunzhi Wang , Zeqi Wang , Zhiwei Ye , Hongwei Chen
Nowadays new peer to peer (P2P) traffic with dynamic port and encrypted technology makes the identification of P2P traffic become more and more difficult. As one of the optimal classifiers, support vector machine (SVM) has special advantages with avoiding local optimum, overcoming dimension disaster, resolving small samples and high dimension for P2P classification problems. However, to employ SVM, the parameters selection of SVM should be considered and thus some optimization methods have been put forward to deal with it, still, it is not fully solved. Hence, in the paper, a peer to peer traffic identification approach based on support vector machine and bacterial foraging algorithm is proposed for better identification of P2P network traffic. First, the best parameters for SVM are tuned with bacterial foraging algorithm. Subsequently, SVM set with the best parameters is used to identify P2P traffic. Finally, experimental results show the proposed approach can effectively improve the accuracy of P2P network traffic identification. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4736

Yong Zhang , XueQiang Yang , ZengXin Wang
China is one of the largest coal producer and consumer countries in the world. However, due to the complexity of coal resources, storage conditions, geological disaster-prone coal mines, it is also a coal mine accidents multiple country, coal mine accidents and deaths of China accounted to about 80% total of the world. In the coal mine accident occurred, roof accident has accounted for around 40%,such as the roof collapsed, slipped, deformation, obstruction and so on. So the monitor and early warning of roof is particularly important. State of motion is closely related to mine roof pressure. Roof support pressure or resistance can be measured by the pressure sensor. The data send to the ring Ethernet underground and transmit to the monitoring center of ground. Through information analysis processing, it could provide real-time data and early warning, alarm information. Applied time series theory analysis and forecasting future pressure changes, can master the roof movement trends and regularity, guide safe production. So the decisions have some practical significance. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4779

Recognition Based on Metric-optimized Neighborhood Preserving Embedding

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3294
Bo Chen , Ye Zhang
Face recognition is a biometric technology with great developable potential. It has a great deal of potential applications in public security and information security. To overcome the problem in the high-dimensional face data processing, the k-nearest neighbors is chose by Linear Discriminate Analysis (LDA). A Metric-optimized is proposed for Neighborhood Preserving Embedding (MONPE).MONPE algorithm, with the dimensions of data reduced by LDA, will be reasonable in NPE algorithm. On the other hand, LDA maximizes the between-class scatter and minimizes the within-class scatter, so the neighbors of a sample will have higher possibility to be picked from the same class .With the ORL face database and the Yale database, the recognition rate and run time is compared among NPE, MONPE and CLMONPE. The simulation results show that CLMONPE has obvious advantage in application DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4825

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3317

The empirical risk minimization methods were often used to estimate the multifunctional sensor regression function in signal reconstruction. The small size of sample data would lead to the problem of poor generalization capability and overfitting. Support vector machine (SVM) is a novel machine learning method based on structural risk minimization, and it can improve generalization capability and restrain overfitting. In this paper, an optimal ν Support Vector Regression (ν-SVR) algorithms have been proposed for multifunctional sensor reconstruction, which combined ν-SVR with particle swarm optimization (PSO), achieving accurate estimation of both the hyperparameters and reconstruction function. The results of emulation and theory analysis indicate that the proposed algorithm is more accurate and reliable for signal reconstruction. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4204

0.345 Attenuation Law of Vibration Signals During Caving

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3296
Xu Li , Tao Gu
To study on the characteristics of the vibration signals of coal and stone hitting the armor plate during caving, a hybrid algorithm based on first order forward difference and wavelet transform modulus-maxima method is presented which can be used in the longwall top coal face. First, in order to reduce the noise interference, the pre-processing of the vibration signals is done by the first order forward difference method. Second, the wavelet transform modulus-maxima method is used to analyze the resluts of the difference for the post-processing of the data. Finally, attenuation formula is defined in the first-level details (D1). We can learn by the experimental results that the hybrid algorithm provides real-time, high confidence identification of coal and stone by analysis of the first-level details that has approximate 0.345 attenuation law between the wavelet transform modulus-maxima (the maximum coefficient) and the wavelet transform modulus-minima (the minimum coefficient). Because the wavelet transform modulus-maxima’s abscissa and the wavelet transform modulus-minima’s abscissa are adjacent to each other, the concept of Singularity-point Couple(SPC) is defined. Based upon the attenuation law and the defined concept, interference signals can be eliminated, vibration signals can be restored, and some prediction work can be done. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4885

In this paper, wepropose a novel balanced scorecard design based on fuzzy analytic networkprocess and then conduct performance evaluation through a case study. Afteranalyzing the related works about balanced scorecard design and the algorithmof fuzzy analytic network process, we illustrate the improved balancedscorecard design. Firstly, the basic concepts for the balanced scorecardsare introduced. Secondly, four perspectives of the balanced scorecards design are provided.Thirdly, the method to promote the performance of balanced scorecard designthrough the fuzzy analytic network process is demonstrated. In the proposeddesign, a fuzzy number is represented by the left and right formation of eachdegree of membership in fuzzy analytic network process. Furthermore, the degreepossibility for a convex fuzzy number to be larger than a given convex fuzzynumbers can be represented by an effective scheme. Particularly, the basicstructure in the fuzzy analytic network process model is organized hierarchically, and the local weights of the strategies, balanced scorecard perspectives andperformance indicators can be obtained by matrix computing. Finally, a casestudy of college English classroom teaching quantitative evaluation is given todemonstrate the performance of the proposed balanced scorecard design.Experimental results show that the proposed balanced scorecard design is quiteeffective. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4804

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3348
Yanjun Zhao , Chunying Zhang
The expectative sub-graph isomorphism of uncertain attribute graph is based on the analysis of complex network structure and the characteristic of uncertain attribute graph. The expectative sub-graph isomorphism of uncertain attribute graph is only one threshold value as constraint conditions. The method is simple, but the computation is large amount. Therefore, this paper brings in the definition of sub-graph isomorphism of uncertain attribute graph, and explains the concept.  Then, this paper designs and comes true the algorithm ofsub-graph isomorphism. Finally, through the experiments proves that sub-graph isomorphic is better than expectative sub-graph, and it analyzes the variation in the different threshold cases. The research of sub-graph isomorphism algorithm laid the foundation for uncertain attribute graph sub-graph query and community mining. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4774

This article describes a rapid detection method of the airport runway for remote sensing images. The specific algorithm implementation steps are: Firstly, we use the Otsu's method to separate the runway from the images. Then we use the fractional differential gradient operator, which has good anti-noise performance and effective edge extraction ability, to extract the edge information of image, and use automatic threshold to distinguish the edge of runway and other objects. Finally, we use the Hough algorithm to calculate the runway. This detection method of the airport runway, which greatly reduce the data operation and greatly enhance the computing speed, has advantage of good test results and fast speed. This paper shows that, as the study of fractional differential, the application of fractional calculus in a wider area will be successful. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.5000
