Natalya Maxutova , Jamalbek Tussupov , Kamilya Kedelbayeva , Assemgul Tynykulova , Zulfiya Balabayeva , Zauresh Yersultanova , Zhainagul Khamitova , Kamila Zhunussova
This paper examines various machine learning methods for assessing risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. To build predictive models, two approaches were used: the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) algorithm and a convolutional neural network (CNN). The focus is on analyzing the performance of each model in classification and regression tasks, as well as their ability to identify key biomarkers and risk factors such as cholesterol, ferritin, homocysteine and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels. XGBoost parameters have been optimized for working with tabular data, demonstrating high accuracy in risk prediction. The CNN model, despite the initial reduction in error on the training set, showed signs of overfitting when analyzing validation data. Performance evaluation using the metrics of mean squared error (MSE), coefficient of determination (R²), Akaike information criterion (AIC), and Bayesian information criterion (BIC) revealed significant differences between the models. The study results confirm the effectiveness of XGBoost in analyzing tabular data and summarizing risk factor knowledge, while the CNN model needs further optimization to handle sparse data. The work demonstrates the importance of choosing the right model architecture and training parameters to ensure reliable diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

Ricardo Linelson , Fahmy Rinanda Saputri
This research aims to apply an artificial intelligence (AI) system to control the position of photovoltaic (PV) panels to maximize the use of solar energy using the solar tracker. The implementation of AI algorithms to achieve optimal panel orientation, considering factors such as sunlight intensity and sun position is also discussed. The simulation results using matrix laboratory (MATLAB) Simulink can be observed on the scope, displaying the position control graph of the solar panel from sunrise to sunset. By employing proportional integral derivative (PID) control, the error is likely to be minimal, ensuring that the panel will continue to follow the sun until it sets at the maximum point of 4:00 PM. After that, the panel can be adjusted back or reset to the initial position at 6:00 AM for the following day. In a full-day simulation, the solar panel will follow the sun's movement from sunset to sunrise. At the basic level, sunrise occurs in the first hour at position 1.0, which is 6:00 AM in the minimum point at the bottom left corner of the curve, and sunset occurs in the afternoon at position 5.25, which is 4:00 PM at the maximum point in the top right corner of the curve.

Recent advances in intelligent systems have significantly improved power management, load distribution, and resource management capabilities, far beyond past constraints. Despite these gains, the development of internet-connected technology has brought various vulnerabilities, leading to negative results. The integration of intelligent technology has unintentionally offered chances for hackers to enter networks and modify data sent to central systems for analysis. One of the most serious risks is the false data injection attack (FDIA), which may drastically impair analytical outcomes. Previous research has shown that standard approaches for recovering data affected by FDIA are unreliable and inefficient. This paper investigates the use of the proof of stake (PoS) consensus method in this framework improves data integrity and makes it easier to identify illegal changes. Participating nodes may reject or change block transactions, ensuring the ledger's correctness. Our results show that the PoS consensus method is exceptionally successful in creating and adding transactions to the blockchain. Furthermore, the PoS mechanism's simplicity in block formation enhances both time and energy efficiency, resulting in considerable benefits in operational performance.

In the digital era, social media platforms like LinkedIn have become famous for recruitment, and recruiters widely use them to find potential employees. The recruitment process is crucial in organizations, as it involves selecting qualified applicants from a diverse pool. However, the screening process and manual recruitment process entail significant time, high costs, and potential bias. Consequently, it may cause recruiting unqualified applicants and may affect the organizations. Thus, this study aims to classify and generate a list of potential job applicants by analyzing seven attributes of their LinkedIn accounts: title, location, skills, education, language, certification, and years of experience. Data are collected from LinkedIn profiles and then undergo data pre-processing. The naive Bayes (NB) algorithm is implemented as the classification algorithm and sets the classification as “eligible” or “ineligible”. The NB model achieved an accuracy testing of 89.8%, indicating good performance in classifying potential job applicants. At the same time, we measure the similarity cosine score to set the mean of the eligibility. The classification results are visualized for the suitable applicants in descending rank, allowing users to choose the applicants’ classification status efficiently. For the system usability, we managed to get 90% from the recruitment expert.

Renewable energy (RE) sources integration in electrical grids is changing the dynamics of planning and operation. Overvoltage, overcurrent, and malfunction of protection schemes are some effects if it is limits are not controlled. This article presents a methodology based on the hosting capacity (HC) concept to estimate performance indexes by considering stochastic methods and systematic simulation taking as study case the grid of San Andres Island. RE is of special interest in islands where diesel generators produce energy with a high footprint and security of supply is low as there is a high dependence on fossil fuels and their transport regime. The simulations are carried out in DigSilent PowerFactory integrated with Python to automate the iterations over different penetration levels. The most limiting factor found is transformer rating. Voltage rise is a factor to be monitored at the end of the circuits. Emissions are reduced with the introduction of renewable energies, but variability needs to be controlled as it could require fast start-up of generators; this modifies monitoring and control schemes to maintain stability. The limit found is higher than the established regulation for non-interconnected zones (NIZ) in Colombia, showing the capability of the grid to integrate RE.
