A Double-Efficient Integrity Verification Scheme to Cloud Storage Data

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp7007-7013
Hongyao Deng , Song Xiuli , Tao Jingsong
This paper proposed two integrity verification schemes based on Schnorr Signature Scheme. One is safety integrity verification scheme (SIVS). Another is efficient integrity verification scheme (EIVS). They are difference in characteristics. EIVS has good computational costs while SIVS has high security guarantee. However, they are similar in work. The cloud storage server will choose a set of file blocks and verification blocks randomly while the user sends a challenge, and generate response values to send to the user. The user generates a set of signatures to verify the values. The aim is to check whether the cloud storage server preserves perfectly the user's file or not. In contrast with other schemes, the approach not only has double integrity verification guarantee schemes but also pay lower costs for communication and computation.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6833-6839
Xue Bi , Xiangdong Chen
Sparsity was prior condition in compressed sensing which had been widely concerned in signal reconstruction. Meanwhile nonsubsampled contourlet proposed as a development to contourlet, not only provided flexible multi-scale, multi-direction sparse image decomposition but also featured with shift-invariance property which was beneficial to image denoising. This paper combined threshold operator in nonsubsampled contourlet domain with non local means filter for image denoising in the compressed sensing framework. Therefore, NSCT-NLmeans based compressed sensing reconstruction was proposed for noisy image. The experiment results showed that NSCT- NLmeans based algorithm outperformed the other multi-resolution and multi-directional transforms in recovering and denoising image simultaneously.

The climate change tends to be extreme condition that directly affects on decreasing agriculture production.  Therefore, application of automated system in agriculture activities is the potential issue which must be considered. This paper presents ON-OFF and ANN controllers which are applied to the automated irrigation system. Controlling irrigation system used a calculated Penman-Monteith evapotranspiration and a reference of soil moisture as the compared input. Input parameters of the evapotranspiration included temperature, heat radiation, atmosphere pressure and wind speed. The use of feed forward ANN included 1 input layer with 15 neurons and 2 hidden layers with 10 and 5 neurons and 1 output layer and 1 input layer, 2 hidden layers with 96 and 1 neurons and 1 output layer, errors are 14.3% and 3.9%, respectively. Error of the ON-OFF controller with sampling time of 0.05 second is equal to the error of ANN controller. The performance of such controllers were evaluated and compared based on error of both controllers.  The simulation result of ON-OFF controller was used as the reference of controller development based on ATmega 8 microcontroller. The simulation results show that the error of the ON-OFF controller can be easily adjusted by setting the sampling time of the dead zone discretization.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6965-6968
Ning Chen , Xiao-ping Song , Yi Liu
This paper introduced a technique for edge detection by Biomimetic pattern recognition (BPR).  The images were scanned into a computer. Due to the nature of the acquiring technique, the acquired images have lots of artifacts, resulting in complicated edge detection.  According to this, we used Biomimetic pattern recognition, which is based on “matter cognition” instead of “matter classification” and rather closer to the function of the human being. Finally, the experiments showed that the technique is feasible and has some flexibility.

Batik Image Retrieval Based on Color Difference Histogram and Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix

10.12928/telkomnika.v12i3.80
Agus Eko; Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Minarno , Nanik; Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Suciati
Study in batik images retrieval is still challenging until today. One of the methods for this problem is using Color Difference Histogram (CDH) which is based on the difference of color features and edge orientation features. However, CDH is only utilizing local features instead of global features; consequently it cannot represent images globally. We suggest that by adding global features for batik images retrieval, the precision will increase. Therefore, in this study, we combine the use of modified CDH to define local features and the use of Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) to define global features. The modified CDH is performed by changing the size of image quantization, so it can reduce the number of features. Features that detected by GLCM are energy, entropy, contrast and correlation. In this study, we use 300 batik images which are consisted of 50 classes and 6 images in each class. The experiment result shows that the proposed method is able to raise 96.5% of precision rate which is 3.5% higher than the use of CDH only. The proposed method is extracting a smaller number of features; however it performs better for batik images retrieval. This indicates that the use of GLCM is effective combined with CDH.

Application of Magnetic Integrated Technology in Controllable Reactor of Transformer Type

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6526-6533
Jianning Yin , Mingxing Tian , Guohan Yin
There is the magnetic coupling among control windings of controllable reactor of transformer type (CRT), the decoupling integrated magnetic technology is applied to the structure design of CRT in this paper. To realize the decoupling among the control windings we propose a magnetic integrated structure of CRT by providing low magnetic resistance magnetic circuit for control windings magnetic flux. The winding leakages of this structure are calculated, its inductance-transformer equivalent circuit is also established, and the equation of the coupling degree of control windings and no-load current with the lateral column air gap size are deduced. The simulation model for a CRT is fabricated with MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulation and analysis results shows that when increasing the air gap, the magnetic coupling between the control windings decreases apparently, the utilization ratio of windings current is also raised. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of this method by controlling the lateral column air gap size to achieve the purpose of decoupling.

10.12928/telkomnika.v12i3.105
A'ang; Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta Subiyakto , Abdul Rahman; International Islamic University Malaysia Ahlan , Husni Teja; Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta Sukmana
Historically, scholars have been determining deductively critical success factors (CSFs) since the end 1970s. Meanwhile, most of researchers in the information system (IS) project performance studies have been performing inductively this process. Definitely, each of both methods has strengths and weaknesses, but we argue that researchers and practitioners will get an alternative choice if both methods are combined for sharing the caracteristics. This study is conducted to respond this issue. Authors combined both methods using a compatibility analysis to inprove the result validity. This paper contributes to the debates on ensuring the interrelationship between the project succes criteria and their CSFs, incorporating the new factors, decomposing complexity of the project, and understanding focus of the stakeholders in the IS project environment. Although, the proposed method is only a combination of both previous methods, but this proposition is proposed together with a case study to prove its implementation feasibility

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6789-6796
Chuansheng Tang , Yuehong Dai , Yong Xiao , Yi Chen
This paper proposed a robust chaos control scheme for surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drive system considering the uncertain parameters and external disturbances. A nonlinear time delay estimator is utilized to estimate the nonlinearities, uncertain parameters and disturbances of the system on line, so it is not necessarily required the exact model of the system. Then, based on the time delay estimator, a simple feedback controller, which is only related to the system errors and control input, is simple and easy to be constructed. The control gains can be obtained easily using pole placement method. The stability of the proposed control scheme is analyzed according to Lyapunov stability theory. Law-filter is also used to improve the performance of the system. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the presented control method.

Variable-weight Combination Prediction of Thermal Error Modeling on CNC Machine Tools

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6797-6804
Zhiming Feng , Guofu Yin
Due to the thermal error modeling of CNC machine tools has characters of small sample and discrete data, the variable-weight combined modeling method was presented by integrating time series analysis and least squares support vector machines. Taking minimum sum of error square of prediction model as the optimization criterion, optimal weights in different time were calculated. Using grey GM (1, 1) model to predict the variable weights, the prediction result of thermal error was obtained as well. Application of the grey variable-weight combined model on a five axis vertical machining center indicated that it can get higher prediction accuracy than single modeling method. Therefore online error compensation to CNC machine tool becomes more effective.

Vision-Based Horizon Extraction Method under Kalman Filter Framework

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6780-6788
Zhenyu Guan , Jie Li , Huan Yang
As the demands of UAV’s visual navigation technology, we bring out a new horizon extraction method in this paper. Firstly, we propose a horizon extraction algorithm for single image. We employ dark channel in single image to avoid the interferences from clouds and fogs, and use Sobel operator extract edges, among which we can extract the true horizon through an algorithm mentioned in Paragraph II. Secondly, we propose a horizon extraction algorithm for video streaming under Kalman Filter (KF) framework based on the horizon extraction algorism for single image. The position of horizon in each frame will be estimated by using the priori horizon positions under KF framework at first, and a search neighborhood will be determined around the estimated position, in which we can get the true position of the horizon through a certain search algorithm. Simulations and analyses are carried out with aerial video streaming, the results show that such algorithms work well on those videos with noise, clouds and fogs, while the time overhead decrease by about 50% than traditional algorithms.
