Implementation of Input-Process-Output Model for Measuring Information System Project Success

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5603-5612
A'ang Subiyakto , Abd. Rahman Ahlan
Measurement of the information system (IS) project success has become the interesting topic for researchers and practitioners since the Standish Group published their findings in 1994.  Project success theory is the main concept in this topic, but this theory is still an ambiguous concept and lack in agreement among researchers and practitioners. They are also still tend to focus on single or partial dimension. Therefore, they did not get a clear picture of the system measurements. This study developed an alternative model of the project success measurement based on input-process-output (IPO) model. The development was conducted using comparison, adoption, adaptation, and combination the previous theories and models: Davis's IPO model, the project success theories, Delone and McLean' model, and the project classificatory framework. As indicated in most studies that most of models are developed using the previous theories and models rather than on empirical proofs. The result is a IS project success model consisting of 9 variables and 36 relationships among the variables. Although, the model is only a conceptual model, but it was developed completely and coherently considering three main aspects of project success measurement, namely: processional and causal models, project success theories, and the influence concept of project environment.

Improvement of Power Quality using Fuzzy Logic Controller In Grid Connected Photovoltaic Cell Using UPQC

https://ijpeds.iaescore.com/index.php/IJPEDS/article/view/5043
K.Ramalingeswara Rao , K.S. Srikanth
In this paper, the design of combined operation of UPQC and PV-ARRAY is designed. The proposed system is composed of series and shunt inverters connected back to back by a dc-link to which pv-array is connected. This system is able to compensate voltage and current related problems both in inter-connected mode and islanding mode by injecting active power to grid. The fundamental aspect is that the power electronic devices (PE) and sensitive equipments (SE) are normally designed to work in non-polluted power system, so they would suffer from malfunctions when supply voltage is not pure sinusoidal. Thus this proposed operating strategy with flexible operation mode improves the power quality of the grid system combining photovoltaic array with a control of unified power quality conditioner. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is used in both three phase four leg inverters. A Proportional Integral (PI) and Fuzzy Logic Controllers are used for power quality improvement by reducing the distortions in the output power. The simulated results were compared among the two controller’s strategies With pi controller and fuzzy logic controller.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v5i1.6184

Application of AGPU for Matrix Converters

https://ijpeds.iaescore.com/index.php/IJPEDS/article/view/5046
Nithin T Abraham , C.A Pradeep Kumar , Shaema Lizbeth Mathew
A simple PI control loop for the matrix converter system is designed in the simulation to maintain a constant output voltage inspite of any disturbance in the source. The single phase matrix converter employs a modified safe-commutation strategy, which results in the elimination of voltage spikes on switches, without the need of a snubber circuit when there is an inductive load being utilized. This is facilitated through the proper switching control algorithm. The sine PWM pulses are generated as switching pulses to the converter to reduce the THD.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v5i1.5340

Caibo Liao , Ruan Jiangjun , Du Zhiye , Liu Chao
In order to research the influence of the contamination around the external insulating surface of DC voltage divider with different types in the electic field distribution by using the finite element method, a two dimensional axisymmetric model of the DC voltage divider in Longquan convertor station is built. Through the calculation comparison in electrostatic and quasi-electrostatic field, the relative dielectric constant of the dry, moist and the non-uniform mixed contamination layer is discussed under the condition of the material parameters is known in quasi-electrostatic field .Analysis shows that for dry contamination, the field type has no influence on the electric field distribution when the parameters of the materials are same. While for moist contamination, the relative dielectric constant in electrostatic field should be set according to the material resistivity in quasi-electrostatic field and the actual condition. The calculation of the non-uniform contamination prove that the materials parameters in electrostatic filed is reasonable.

Hongtao Li , Naiqiu Shu , Ling Li , Hui Peng , Zipin Li
Knowledge of the heat dissipation ability of gas-insulated bus bars (GIB) is paramount in the design stage. To reduce the capital cost, a scale model which has the identical electromagnetic-thermal characteristics of a full scale GIB is designed in this paper. The scaling relationships of the power losses, convection heat transfer, radiant heat transfer and thermal equilibrium are analyzed based on the governing equations and non-dimensional correlations. Current densities, power losses, convective heat transfer coefficients and temperature distributions in conductor and tank of the prototype and the scale models under different load currents are compared by FEM (Finite Element Method). The effectiveness of scale models is validated by the comparison between calculated and test results.

Wind Energy Conversion Based on Matrix Converter

https://ijpeds.iaescore.com/index.php/IJPEDS/article/view/5045
Mutharasan Anburaj , Rameshkumar T , Ajitha A
In recent years renewable sources such as solar, wave and wind are used for the generation of electricity. Wind is one of the major renewable sources. The amount of energy from a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) depends not only on the wind at the site, but also on the control strategy used for the WECS. In assistance to get the appropriate wind energy from the conversion system, wind turbine generator will be run in variable speed mode. The variable speed capability is achieved through the use of an advanced power electronic converter. Fixed speed wind turbines and induction generators are often used in wind farms. But the limitations of such generators are low efficiency and poor power quality which necessitates the variable speed wind turbine generators such as Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). A high-performance configuration can be obtained by using Scherbius drive composed of a DFIG and a converter in combination AC-DC-AC connect between stator & rotor points for providing the required variable speed operation.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v5i1.6025

Reduction on Propositional Logic Set based on Correlation Analysis

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5567-5574
Zhi Huilai
A knowledge base is redundant if it contains parts that can be inferred from the rest of it. In this paper, with no district bound, we study the reduction theory and algorithm on proposition logic set. The propositions of a given proposition set fall into three categories: necessary proposition, useful proposition, and useless proposition. A reduction of a given set is composed of all the necessary propositions and some useful propositions. At the beginning we introduce induced formal context of proposition set, and then propose the method of reduction on proposition set based on correlation analysis.
