A New Anti-Windup PI Controller for Direct Torque Control System

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5268-5274
Li Qi Meng , Miao Jing Li
Speed controller in induction motor direct torque control (DTC) system usually adopts the traditional PI controller. But the traditional PI controller has characteristic of nonlinear saturation, what will make the control performance of actual system become worse. In order to improve system control performance, this paper adopts a new type Anti-Windup PI controller, This method separately control the integral state by feed backing the output of the integrator to the input port of the integrator according to whether the controller output is saturated or not, which can make the system leaving saturation as soon as possible. As a result, the overshoot and settling time of the system are reduced. Simulation and experimental results show that this method can significantly suppress the integral windup phenomenon as well as reduce the overshoot and shorten the settling time. The new Anti-Windup PI controller has a better performance than the traditional PI controller.

Gan Yan , Liu Chao , Ruan Jiangjun , Li Jinliang , Du Zhiye , Hu Yuanchao
Transmission tower is an important component of power system, and heavy iced transmission line has became one of the important factors against its safety and stability in China's power system these years but the transmission line designed from traditional standard can't endure the more worse environment. In this paper, for positioning the weak points of the transmission line under heavy icing accurately and providing accurate positional parameters to online monitoring devices, the strain section model is built to analysis their mechanical properties under icing and wind conditions .In proposed method, the coupling effect between tower and lines is considered, then the weak tower is picked out by strain section model that is combined with eight towers. The single one-tower-two-lines model of weak tower is built to simulate and verify the weak point accurately. Finally the better way is defined to get the location of weak structure combined with the advantages of both models.

Power Loss Research on IGCT-applied NPC Three-level Converter

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5154-5162
Dong Xu , MinXiao Han , Lei Wan
IGCT has a broad application prospects in high power conversion such as flexible DC transmission due to its characteristics of high voltage and large capacity. Compared with IGBT it has a voltage and current level of 4.5kV/4kA and its slope resistance is less than IGBT’s. In addition, due to the di/dt snubber circuit, IGCT’s opening loss will be reduced. Because of improvement of IGCT performance, the loss of IGCT-applied three-level converter will have some new characteristics, so it is necessary to model the IGCT-type three-level converter. Based on piecewise linear curve fitting method, the IGCT switching loss mathematical model is established firstly. With its use in IGCT-type three-level converter loss model, a IGCT-type three-level converter mathematical model is established. If the model is applied in the ±200kV flexible DC transmission’s calculation example, it can be concluded that the loss rate is 0.31%-0.78% when the power factor angle changes between 0 and π, while the loss rate of IGBT-type converter under same voltage level is 2%-3.5% ,so it can be concluded that IGCT is more suitable than IGBT for use in high voltage and large capacity situation such as frequency control of motor speed and flexible DC transmission.

Wu Pan , Tian bo Duo , Zichen Liu , Jun Chen
The S parameters, attenuation characteristics and group delay characteristics of the Teflon tube have analyzed in the paper. Firstly, the S parameters of metal and polymer tube with the same structure are compared. Then the transmission properties of the simple terahertz Teflon tubes and terahertz Teflon tubes which are coated metal film by three different ways are simulated, and the advantages and disadvantages are contrasted. The S parameters of Teflon tube are more ideal, but it is not plain, the attenuation within the working frequency is less than 10.77dB/m, the group delay is less than 10-10s, coating Teflon tube with film can make S parameters plain. Teflon tube can transmit THz wave effectively, and if the Teflon tube is coated with films, the transmission characteristics can be improved in conclusion.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5438-5447
Li Jiying , Dang Jianwu , Wang Yangping , Wang Xiaopeng
Ant colony algorithm is a new type of biomimetic evolutionary algorithm, which has some outstanding characteristics like good robustness, parallelism and positive feedback. It has been widely used in many fields but it still has some weaknesses, such as slow-convergence and easily-falling into local extreme value. Therefore we propose a new algorithm which combines the quantum evolutionary algorithm and ant colony algorithm together based on these shortcomings, this new type of algorithm considers the two quantum bit probability amplitudes as ants’ current location information. The searching space will be doubled when ants’ numbers remain the same. Both introducing the pixel point gradient into quantum revolving door, and dynamically changing rotation angle are to achieve local-searching. Searching by chaotic quanta near candidates with optimal solution is to improve the global optimization. Meanwhile, adopting a NAND gate is to achieve mutating operation, and to avoid algorithm’s precocity. Compared with the traditional algorithm, the new algorithm has a better population diversity and an outstanding ability to overcome the precocity and stagnation in the optimization process. It has been proved that this improved algorithm is effectively to the problems like slow-convergence and easily-falling into local extreme value, and vividly increase the speed and accuracy of the image segmentation.

Multiple features fusion based tracking is one of the most active research in tracking literature, In this paper, a novel adaptive fusion strategy is proposed for multiple features fusion, based on two common used fusion rules: product rule and weighted sum rule. This strategy employs particle filtering technique; product rule and weighted sum rule are unified into an adaptive framework through defined features distance. In practice, the new fusion strategy shows more robustness than product fusion and weighted sun rule.

Omer Elfaki , Wang Zezhong , Liu Qihui
The use of doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) in wind turbines has become quite common for the last few years. These machines provide variable speed and are driven with a power converter which is sized for a small percentage of the turbine-rated power. This paper presents a detailed model of an induction generator coupled to wind turbine system. Modeling and simulation of the induction machine using vector control computing technique is done. DFIG wind turbine is an integrated part of the distributed generation system, therefore, any abnormality’s associates with grid are going to affect the system performance considerably. Taking this into account, the performance of DFIG variable speed wind turbine under network fault is studied using simulation developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Jianfeng Wu , Shucai Huang , Xiaoyan Wu , Yu Zhong , Hongxia Kang , Chengjing Li
In this article, a study of anti-interference tracking method of maneuvering target for nonlinear structure random jump systems (SRJSs) with random interference was investigated. Inview of the random interference problem of the tracking system, the nonlinear Gaussian approximation filtering (NGAF) was applied to achieve anti-interference tracking of maneuvering target in observation noises environment with the pip interference signal. Inview of the defects of the NGAF algorithm, bootstrap filtering (BSF) algorithm of SRJSs was applied to avoid the loss of information caused by neglecting the higher-order terms. A meaningful example of radar/IR dual-mode compound seeker is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the authors’methods, the performances of extended Kalman filtering (EKF), NGAF and BSF in terms of stability, accuracy and computational complexity were compared. The purpose of this paper was to demonstrate the effectiveness of applying the NGAF and BSF on anti-interference target tracking problems of SRJSs, which in the past the factors of randomness and structure uncertainties characteristics had been rarely considered for the studies of maneuvering target tracking, mostly the structures and the parameters of the tracking system were invariant and certainty, and had typically been solved by Kalman or extended Kalman filters.

Research of Blind Forensics Algorithm on Digital Image Tampering

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5399-5407
Hongying Jin
With rapid development of the internet and the multimedia technology, the digital images tampering with blind forensics technology become a new research direction in the study of information security. The technology is based on the digital image, and it is only to realize image integrity and authenticity of the certification, so it is widely used in the civil fields such as news reports, judicial proof and military fields such as military intelligence analysis. So the research of it has great significance and broad application prospect.  In the paper, the exploration and research on the paste tampering and splicing tampering with blind forensics algorithm are made. The blind forensics algorithm based on radial Krawtchouk copy-and-paste invariant moment is proposed. As the current copy-and-paste blind forensics algorithm has low localization accuracy, and poor robustness of the post-processing in solving the problem. Based on sliding window block matching method and the radial Krawtchouk invariant moment, it proposes a copy-and-paste tampering with blind forensics algorithm. The experimental results show that the algorithm can effectively locate the tampered area, and it has very strong robustness of the rotating operation, JPEG compression, Gaussian noise, etc.

Spatial Characteristics of Wireless Channel in Tunnel with Imperfect Walls

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5499-5507
Yi Zhang , Zhao Xu , Bo-Ming Song , Yu Huo
The successful design and application of the physical layer techniques of the wireless network, including MIMO, adaptive OFDM, and mining antenna, to name a few, need the detailed knowledge of the spatial characteristics of the transmitted signals. This paper provides a modal approach to quantify the spatial distribution of the waves in tunnels in detail. We develop the modal theory for propagation in a tunnel with imperfect walls, which are lossy, rough, and tilted. And then, we discuss the transmission power of the antenna as a function of the angles of departure (AOD). On this basis, we take the half-wave dipole antenna as an example to analyse by simulations. The theoretical results show that the angular power distribution in the rectangular tunnel follows Gaussian distribution. The angle spread (AS) of the waves can be influenced by the tunnel walls. The roughness of the wall surface is most important in small tunnels and at low frequencies, whereas the wall tilt is most important in large tunnels and at high frequencies.

It is very much important to have an improved meathod of poultry incubation because of the increase in demand for chicken. But in conventional meathod of poultry incubation it consumes much power and this power is taken from the grid. In short conventional meathod of egg hatching requires countioous supply of power. Weknow about the increasing demand   In this paper a new meathod of solar poultry incubator design is suggested which could be used to hatch eggs from solar pv and hence could reduce the usage of power and can maximize the usage of solar power which is a renewable source of energy.By implementing this meathod of solar poultry incubator we will be able to reduce the power consumption of the incubator by 75% and the cost involved in the design also yields profit and hence could bring out a reveloution in this field.

T. D. Sudhakar
In modern days power system are becoming highly unpredictable, so low voltages and blackout are becoming common scenario. The voltage limits are affected because the system is operated close to its stability limits. To improve the voltage profile new generating plants have to be developed, which are restricted due to economic an environmental limitations. To overcome these limitations and use the existing network to the maximum, FACTS devices are used. In this paper, SVC a FACTS device is used to improve the voltage profile of the network. To decide the location of the SVC, voltage sensitivity analysis method is used. FACTS devices are used to compensate both real and reactive power. To demonstrate this IEEE 14 bus and 39 bus are considered. The complete simulation is done using PSAT version 2.1.6 in Matlab 7.10.0 (R2010 a).
