Karthick S P , Karthigaivel R , Helen Catherine R L
MPPT control algorithm and lossless inverter can be improving the efficiency of photovoltaic system. Amount of solar radiation exposed on the panel is affected by buildings and tree shadows. Such partially shaded cells lead to the existence of multiple mpps and the problem can be regarded as an optimization problem. The control algorithm named seeker optimization algorithm (soa) is implemented in this paper to find the global mpp instead local maxima obtained in case of conventional perturbation and observation (p&o) method, incremental conductance and other solution methodologies. Switching losses are minimized by single stage inverter configuration. The proposed system output voltage is a rectified sine wave. Simulation model is developed in psim that couples soa algorithm coded in matlab. Finally it will improve the overall efficiency and reduce the switching losses of the solar photovoltaic system.

The switched reluctance motor (SRM) drives have been widely used in aircraft applications due to the motor advantages like high speed operation, simple construction, no windings on rotor. But high torque ripples and acoustic noise are main disadvantages. The current hysteresis chopping control is one of the important control methods for SRM drives. These disadvantages can be limited using the hysteresis or chopping current control. This control strategy makes the torque of SRM maintained within a set of hysteresis bands by applying suitable source voltage. This paper introduces two hysteresis control modes; hard chopping and soft chopping mode. The SRM drive system is modeled in Simulink model using MATLAB/SIMULINK software package.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v4i3.6210

Global Stability of an SEIRS Model with Impulsive Vaccination and Saturating Incidence Rate

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6999-7006
Yang Yang , Cheng Nannan
This paper introduces a impulsive vaccination SEIRS epidemic model with constant input, saturation incidence rate and exposed period, and the threshold valueσ=1 is obtained at which disease is eliminated. By using the impulsive differential equation theory, it is proved that whenσ<1, the disease-free periodic solution is globally asymptotically stable, and that whenσ>1,the system is uniformly persistent. On these grounds, it is shown that impulsive vaccination can bring obvious effects on the dynamics behaviors of the system.

Multilevel DC Link Inverter with Reduced Number of Switches and Batteries

https://ijpeds.iaescore.com/index.php/IJPEDS/article/view/5002
Y. R. Manjunatha , Anand B A
Multilevel inverters are the best solution for medium and high voltage power electronic drives. Because of its unique characteristic of synthesizing sinusoidal voltage with less harmonic contents using several DC sources. In a three phase multilevel inverter, each phase of a cascaded H-bridge inverter requires ‘n’ DC sources to obtain 2n + 1 output voltage levels. One particular disadvantage  is that,  it  increases  number  of power semiconductor switches. To overcome this disadvantage a multilevel  DC  link  inverter (MLDCLI) with reduced number of switches and batteries is proposed.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v4i3.4618

https://ijpeds.iaescore.com/index.php/IJPEDS/article/view/5014

This paper presents a technique for speed sensorless Rotor Flux Oriented Control (RFOC) of 3-phase Induction Motor (IM) under open-phase fault (unbalanced or faulty IM). The presented RFOC strategy is based on rotational transformation. An adaptive sliding mode control system with an adaptive switching gain is proposed instead of the speed PI controller. Using an adaptive sliding mode control causes the proposed speed sensorless RFOC drive system to become insensitive to uncertainties such as load disturbances and parameter variations. Moreover, with adaptation of the sliding switching gain, calculation of the system uncertainties upper bound is not needed. Finally, simulation results have been presented to confirm the good performance of the proposed method.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v4i3.6212

A Research on Profit Allocation of the Wind and Other Powers’ Bundled Transmission

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6534-6543
Herui Cui , Pengyu Zhang
The lack of wind power’s assimilative capacity has become a bottleneck of wind power’s large-scale development in the future, while the bundled transmission model of wind power is highly recommended by many scholars at present. However, due to the distemperedness of China's current fiscal policy, the involved parties cannot get the corresponding policy incentives and the economic compensation for additional contributions, which restricted the implementation of the bundled transmission model. By discussing the basic theory of DEA Game, This paper built an excess profit allocation model based on DEA Game, and took an example to analyze the model’s feasibility. Thus, it provides some theoretical basis for the distribution amount and practice distribution forms of the excess profits, and proposes a solution to the problem of the bundled transmission model’s benefit distribution.

Vicky Jose , K. Vinoth Kumar , S.Suresh Kumar , Nithin.T. Abraham , Dona Maria Mathew
Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor has gained popularity in industrial applications mainly due to its simple control structure from its first introduction in 1986. Here the direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor with zone shifting space vector modulation (SVM) has been done. It uses a simple phase current re-construction algorithm for three phase induction motor (IM).The phase current re-construction algorithm is done by using information from the current that is from the phases between the inverter and the induction motor. The proposed algorithm is robust and very simple. It uses the AC current to get the stator current for estimating the motor flux and the electromagnetic torque. By evaluating through the torque value and the current the controlling of induction motor is done. The simulation results are also given which supports the direct torque control strategy of the induction motor (IM).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v4i3.5641

https://ijeecs.iaescore.com/index.php/IJEECS/article/view/3813
Alireza Rezaee
Automated ground vehicles are being used increasingly in automation of factories for material transmitting or other missions. The navigation of these vehicles is a challenge as the configuration of the environment such as factory changes. The path-planning problem has been shown to be NP-hard, thus this problem is often solved using heuristic optimization methods such as genetic algorithms. In this paper a genetic algorithm for path planning of the mobile robots specifically automated ground vehicles with a basic knowledge about navigation area boundaries and configuration of obstacles. The goal in this paper is to travel the shortest path in minimal time while avoiding obstacles in a navigation environment. For this reason, an effective structure for genetic algorithm was implemented. http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i9.6271

In order to solve the poor robustness problem due to partial occlusionof target, we propose an adaptive particle filter tracking method based on thefusion of the multiple features. First, we regard information fusion as aprocess of information loss, loss coefficient is defined based on this idea. Then the credibility of feature can be obtained by weighted distance and themean of particle filter, and we use the features’ credibility to reallocate theloss coefficient. An extensive number of comparative experiments show theproposed algorithm is more stable and robust than multiplicative fusion andadditive fusion tracking algorithms.

The field oriented control theory and space vector pulse width modulation technique make a permanent magnet synchronous motor can achieve the performance as well as a DC motor. However, due to the nonlinearity of the permanent magnet synchronous motor drive characteristics, it is difficult to control by using conventional proportional-integral-derivative controller. By this reason in this paper an online neural network controller for the permanent magnet synchronous motor is proposed. The controller is designed to tracks variations of speed references and also during load disturbance. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by develop simulation model in MATLAB-simulink program. The simulation results show that the proposed controller can reduce the overshoot, settling time and rise time. It can be concluded that the performance of the controller is improved.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijpeds.v4i3.5941

Compressed Sensing High-accuracy Detection for Electric Power Interharmonics

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i9.pp6494-6501
Tiejun Cao , Jingfang Wang
Interharmonics frequencies are not integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, and interharmonics amplitudes are far less than fundamental amplitude and harmonics amplitudes,  which mean high sensitivity to desynchronization problems, so it’s dificult to estimate interharmonics.  In this paper, a new method based on random sparse sampling and compressed sensing (CS) Bregman technique was proposed to estimate the interharmonics. The random sam pling has following advantages; alias-free、sampling frequency need not obey the Nyquist limit、and higher frequency resolution. So the random sampling can measure the signals which their frequencies component are close, and can implement the higher frequencies measurement with lower sampling frequency. However, the rangdom sampling exists the noise in spectrum analysis, so it’s difficult to estimate the low amplitude signals. Compressed sensing can work out this problem by designing observation matrix and with the sparsity reconstruction of the signal in the Fourier domain; in addition, the application of CS can estimate the amplitudes and phases of the signals exactly. The results ofexperiments show that the proposed method can estimate the interharmonics exactly, even if the interharmonics frequencies are close the fundam ental frequency and interharmonics amplitudes are far less than fundamental am plitude;and can measure high order interharmonics with lower sam pling frequency.
