10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp4928-4933
Ben Slimane Hassane , Ben Moussa Dennai , Helmaoui Abderrachid
A simulation model has been performed on materials as Ge, Si, GaAs, AlGaAs and the values of gaps Egk of hypothetical materials, the calculation of the corresponding maximum efficiency was carried out for multigap solar cells systems coupled in splitting mode. The effects of an optical coupling by a dichroic mirror between independent solar cells, and solar cells coupled in series has been analysed. One particular result of our study is that the coupling by a dichroic mirror between an independent cell gives an interesting efficiency.

Controlled Synchronization by Limited Capacity Communication Channel

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5362-5367
Ziqi Dong , Yongchun Liu , Da Lin
The work focuses on synchronization of time-delay chaos systems under information constraints. A theoretical analysis for time-delayed system by limited communication channel is provided. By using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach, a synchronization condition is first obtained. Encoder of binary coding is designed by this condition, and synchronization error of this systems tends to zero. Finally, analytical conditions are used for synchronization of time-delay chaos systems under information constraints, and simulations verify the validity of obtained result.

Fuzzy c-Means and Mean Shift Algorithm for 3DPoint Clouds Denoising

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5546-5551
Tongguang Ni , Xiaoqing Gu , Hongyuan Wang
In  many  applications,  denoising  is  necessary  since  point-sampled  models  obtained  by  laser  scanners  with  insufficient  precision.  An  algorithm  for  pointsampled surface is presented, which combines fuzzy c-means clustering with mean shift filtering algorithm. By using fuzzy c-means clustering, the large-scale noise is deleted  and  a  part  of  small-scale  noise  also  is  smooth.  The  cluster  centers  are regarded  as  the  new  points.  After  acquiring  new  point  sets  being  less  noisy,  the remains noise  is smooth by mean shift  method. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can produce a more accurate point-sample model efficiently while having better feature preservation.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5331-5341
Xiaoping Ma , Yuli Zhang , Yanzi Miao
The detection of an odor source location has been enhanced by using multiple plume-tracing mobile robots. So far, many researchers focus on locating a single source in varied environments. The present study is concerned with the problem of multiple chemical sources localization using multi-robot system. In this study, multiple groups of robots were used and coordinated by a multi-robot cooperation strategy with virtual physics force, which includes structure formation force, goal force, repulsion force and rotary force. In order to test the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, plume model with two sources was constructed by computation fluid dynamics simulations. Simulation experiment discussed the influence of the varied frequencies of wind direction/ speed and methane release with different initial positions of multiple groups to the search performance. Simulation comparison experiments using three kinds of plume tracing algorithms: chemotaxis, anemotaxis and fluxotaxis were carried out respectively and the comparative result about three plume tracing algorithms was illustrated.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Based Task Scheduling with QoS Preference Awareness

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5559-5566
Juan Wang
Existing task scheduling algorithms in cloud computing lack the ability to be aware of users' quality of service(QoS) preference. In order to address this problem, "intuitionistic fuzzy analysis" is introduced to determine users' QoS preference. In addition, the "optimal sequence decision method" helps experts use their professional knowledge to decide the weights of QoS classes. Using these methods, we propose the "Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Based Task Scheduling with QoS Preference Awareness: IFS-QoS PA" algorithm. By considering both user and expert experience, the method can determine users' QoS preference and reflect the characteristic of cloud storage system. The simulation results show that this method offers acceptable user satisfaction rate, has low computation complexity and more suitable for large scale task scheduling as compare to particle swarm optimization based ones.

Adaptive Neural Network Approach for a Class of Uncertain Non-affine Nonlinear Systems

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5284-5292
Hui Hu , Yingjun Wang , Xilong qu
The paper proposes a new output feedback adaptive tracking control scheme using neural network for a class of uncertain non-affine nonlinear systems that only the system output variables can be measured. The scheme adopts low-pass filter to transform non-affine nonlinear systems into affine in the pseudo-input dynamics. No state observer is employed and few adapting parameters to be tuned and Lipschiz assumption, SPR condition are not required. Only the output error is used in control laws and weights update laws which make the system construct simple. Boundedness for the output tracking error and all states in the closed-loop system are guaranteed, and simulation results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5522-5528
Zhixia JIANG , Haifeng LUO , Jianjun YANG , Zhengqiang WEN
The joint and recovery of paper scrap was an optimal matching issue. The automatic restoration technology for the broken document was designed according to different cutting ways of the paper shredder. As the fragment data was an one-side print file, a nonlinear programming model with no constraint conditions was established for the straight-cutting broken paper scrap from a given print file of the same page, and the nonlinear programming model with restraint programming model was established for the broken scrap with straight cut and cross cut. For the paper scrap data from a one-page print file in English printed on both sides, the joint was accomplished by the ant colony algorithm.

Dynamic Sliding Mode Control of Ship Rudder-fin Joint Nonlinear System

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5275-5283
Han Yao zhen
In order to realize good track keeping and roll reduction of the ship while navigating. A multiple input multiple output rudder-fin control system based on dynamic sliding mode algorithm is proposed. Rudder-fin joint system nonlinear mathematical model is established. Because the designed sliding mode controller makes sliding variables and the derivatives be zero, so it is essentially continous and overcomes traditional sliding mode chattering problem. Simulation results show that while keeping the command  track angle the designed control system can make the average roll angle about ±2°and realize good stabilization effect.

Rateless Codes Design Scheme Based on Two Stages

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5469-5475
Yunji Li , Xiaolong Yang , Keping Long
Current rateless codes coding schemes ignored the order recovery of packets. To cope with this problem, average delay and maximum memory consumption were proposed as performance indices to characterize the order recovery performance, then a coding scheme based on two stages coding was proposed to improve the order recovery performance. Encoding of the front k coded symbols is the first stage, which the ith coded symbol is compose of the ith packet and other di-1 packets which are chosen from the front i-1 packets with equal probability. Encoding of the remaining infinite coded symbols is the second stage which the packets are chosen from all packets equal probably. The simulation results show that the rateless codes from the proposed scheme have better order recovery performance, meanwhile have high bandwidth efficiency and good uniformity recovery than LT codes.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5096-5103
Xie Jianghong , Wang Haipeng , Nie Dexin , Song You , Cai Wei
Accurate and reliable assessment of power equipment operation state is the premise and basis for maintenance of power system state. This article builds the transformer body state assessment model based on fuzzy and evidence theories taking 500kV oil-immersed transformer as the object of research. The representative parameters in preventive test are selected as state assessment indicators by making reference to the factory values and threshold-crossing values of which the indicator normalization is carried out to determine the degrees of membership of each indicator relative to different state assessment levels using fuzzy evaluation method. These indicators are divided into three sub-evidence bodies, i.e. gas dissolved in oil, oilation test and electrical test, and information combination of these three sub-evidence bodies is carried out using evidence theory to further assess the operation state of transformer body. The effectiveness of this assessment model applied in state assessment of transformer body is verified by example analysis of the data of a 500kV transformer. This assessment model has clear ideas and doesn’t need too much historical data, it provides a new method for transformer state assessment.

Delay Separated Neural Network Inverse Control in Main-Steam Temperature System

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5244-5250
Lingfang Sun , Yihang Li , Dan Li
In order to improve the control effect of the main steam temperature with large time delay, this paper proposed a delay separated neural network inverse (DSNNI) control scheme. The delay time and the positive model without delay were given by using adaptive linear element and BP network. The neural network inverse model of the positive model without delay was built   on that basis. An appropriate reference model was selected to make the inverse model’s output smoothing. It is an open-loop control system when the model is cascaded into original system. It will avoid the instability caused by the closed-loop control systems. Off-line identification and on-line identification are combined to get the inverse model in order to reduce the steady-state error and make the system have fine adaptive capacity. Detail simulation tests are carried out on the given 300MW power unit. Tests show that the neural network inverse control with delay time separation can get rapid and smooth output for the main steam temperature system. It is able to overcome the adverse effects caused by the time delay and the parameters changes. Compared with the cascade PID controller, the adjustment time of DSNNI reduces from 600s to380s and shows faster response, better robustness and anti-interference performance.

This work presents a new Rotor Field-Oriented Control (RFOC) technique for single-phase Induction Motors (IMs). The proposed method uses two rotational transformations, which extract from the steady-state equivalent circuit of single-phase IM. It is proved by using proposed rotational transformations, the single-phase IM asymmetrical equations change into symmetrical equations. In the proposed technique, the assumption of (Mq/Md)2=Lqs/Lds=a2 which is usually used in other FOC of single-phase IMs, is not considered. Performance of the proposed technique is assessed using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Extensive simulation results show the performance and correctness of the proposed method.

10.11591/ijeecs.v12.i7.pp5508-5513
Wu Pan , Jun Chen , Tianbo Duo , Zichen Liu
In this paper, the complementary ring type metamaterial unit is theoretically analyzed by using the spectral domain approach. A terahertz bandpass filter is designed, which consists of triple-layer complementary ring metamaterial. The center frequency of the filter is 338GHz, the transmission rate in pass band reaches 97%, the maximum insertion loss in pass band reaches 0.62dB and 3dB bandwidth reaches 75.9GHz. The filter shows stable filtering properties at different polarization wave and the same polarized wave at different incident angles within the scope of 20°. The range of operating frequency matches the first terahertz atmosphere communication window, so it can be used in the field of terahertz atmosphere communication.

Arbab Nighat Khizer , Dai Yaping , Amir Mahmood Soomro , Xu Xiang Yang
Theidentification and modeling theory of nonlinear systems has always been challengingto researchers.  Fuzzy system due to its languagedescriptive way similar to human brain and deal with qualitative informationintelligently proves better choice for nonlinear system modeling over last fewdecades. The fuzzy system theory itself also has nonlinear characteristics thereforewhen establishing the fuzzy model of nonlinear system; it should be able towell describe the nonlinear characteristics. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy systemsare not only suitable for modeling the nonlinear system due to combination ofthe good performance with the simple linear expressions, but also useful todesign the fuzzy controller. This paper proposed a new optimization algorithm namedas Enhanced Gradient Search (EGS) for identification of nonlinear system basedon TS fuzzy system. In proposed EGS, parameters of membership functions aretrained adaptively so as to calculate the gradient of cost function which isnecessary for minimizing the error. Using gradient information of costfunction, EGS applies in an innovative way such that it keeps and updates thebest search results at every training step during the optimization process. Theapplicability of EGS for TS fuzzy model shows splendid performance especially inmodeling of nonlinear system.
